A First Freediving Experience at Passion Dive in Mactan

On October 1, Passion Dive hosted its very first Discovery Freediving Experience at our House Reef in Mactan, Cebu.

Our two guests were travelers from mainland China, visiting Cebu for their holiday. They were the first guests from mainland China to join a freediving experience at Passion Dive.

Both guests were complete beginners with no previous freediving experience. They discovered our freediving experience through a Facebook post and decided to book a session with us.

Interestingly, they came to Passion Dive directly after arriving at Cebu Airport.

Their First Freediving Experience

On the morning of October 1, the two guests joined a 2–3 hour freediving session at the Passion Dive House Reef.

The session was conducted in English. As complete beginners, they were guided by our instructor as they became comfortable in the water and experienced freediving for the first time.

The training took place at a depth of approximately 3–5 meters.

Although it was their first time trying freediving, both guests gradually became more comfortable in the water. They practiced descending along the line and experienced what it is like to move underwater on a single breath.

With guidance from the instructor, they continued practicing in the water and enjoyed the experience.

A First Experience at the Passion Dive House Reef

Rather than focusing on depth, this session was about giving two complete beginners the opportunity to experience freediving for the first time in the water.

At around 3–5 meters, they practiced several descents and enjoyed discovering a new underwater experience.

After approximately 2–3 hours of training, the two guests finished their first freediving experience with plenty of smiles and good memories.

After their session at Passion Dive, they continued their Cebu trip and headed to Moalboal.

Their day started with arriving at Cebu Airport, followed by their first freediving experience at Passion Dive in Mactan, before continuing on to Moalboal.

Discovery Freediving Promotion

Passion Dive offers a Private Beginner Freediving Experience for those who want to try freediving for the first time.

₱3,000 per person

The private beginner session is available for 2–5 participants, with a choice of a morning or afternoon session.

The package includes freediving equipment rental, instructor fees, resort entrance fees, towel and shower use, iced tea and water, and photos and videos taken during the session, including the original files.

Instruction is available in English and Korean.

Just like the two guests featured in this post, complete beginners are welcome to join and experience freediving for the first time.
